Over 44,000 raw images have been captured and streamed back to Earth by Perseverance Rover from Mars. It’s a key aspect of the daily postcard shared by Percy as it trek the terrain on Jezero Crater. Not your typical downtown drive with the nice view. Instead, a challenging ground and hostile environment. So unfriendly that leads to creating the rover into a tough mobile science laboratory and keen Astrobiologist on a mission to Mars.
This latest batch of images are familiar with the last 5 Sols. Yet, the scenery is still new and alien…of course its on another planet, what do we expect =). The scenery is surreal and mysterious at the same time. Perseverance is doing as much as it can to scan the current location’s terrain characterizing the available regolith and detailing the structures. He’s not alone though…with Mars Helicopter Ingenuity on standby for another round of flights test, Percy have to stay put on it’s current flight viewing spot. It’s like assurance of not letting the helicopter off its sight. Enjoy the playlist above compiled for the Sols we have tracked Perseverance through the images shared. Enjoy!
Pictures are worth thousand words. So, I’m just sharing all photos as captured by NASA Mars Perseverance Rover currently on the Red planet. Photo, crawled using NASA API. Really helpful delivered to my inbox. With additional steps, reflected the structured table into this post. Here’s how you can go back to the technical on how we crawl these raw images as Percy streams it to NASA lend us with the API
