Mars Helicopter Ingenuity first flight will still have to wait. Our little flyer is safe, healthy and doing all the validations to make sure the debut flight would be successful. Confirmation have been received that Ingenuity was able to complete a rapid spin test. A significant milestone from Sol 49 (April 9) where the “command sequence” sense an issue and had to halt the test. No worries we’ll get to see Ingenuity on air soon.
While Ingenuity is just chilling on Sol 55, Mars Perseverance Rover wasted no time in flexing its Astrobiology works. Images returned shows Percy found a rock to demonstrate its LASER eyes…I mean… SUPERCAM_RMI ( Remote Micro-Imager ). Here’s the video of that capture. Enjoy!
As always, you can still view the raw image frames in the table below for I believe pictures are worth thousand words. So, I’m just sharing all photos as captured by NASA Mars Perseverance Rover currently on the Red planet. Photo, crawled using NASA API. Really helpful delivered to my inbox. With additional steps, reflected the structured table into this post. Here’s how you can go back to the technical on how we crawl these raw images as Percy streams it to NASA lend us with the API
